Illustration for story on how cats had surpassed dogs as pets. (Shot for Daily Mountain Eagle 1988 -- before PhotoShop. These were two negatives I sandwiched together in the darkroom enlarger. I ordered a light-colored cat and dog because the background had to be solid black, which is completely clear on a negative, allowing to put more than one image on the same piece of photo paper. Trust me, this was impressive back in the day.)
